Detection systems (DS4, DS5, DS6)

While customary obstacle detection mechanisms are aimed at avoiding injuries due to closing doors, the newly developed DS5 goes a decisive step further: it identifies hazard situations with the door already closed and subsequently prevents the train from starting.

The new system makes it possible to detect flexible obstacles with dimensions 5 x 30 mm (rubber-80Sh) or rigid obstacles with a diameter of 6 mm (bar).

Thus, the system is able to increase the sensitivity by the factor 10.

In addition to common obstacles, it is possible to detect e.g. rods of perambulators or similar small obstacles.
